Alcohol and Drugs

Excessive and high risk drinking and drug use pose significant negative consequences for our university community, such as serious injury and death, sexual misconduct, unsafe sex, academic problems, physical and mental health problems, property damage and vandalism. These consequences can affect virtually all students, regardless of whether they personally choose to drink or not.

We invite you to explore more information about the University’s Alcohol and Drugs program, including risk and health effects, campus resources related to alcohol and drug use, legal sanctions, and university and campus policies.

Keep in mind, consent to sexual acts cannot be given by someone who cannot understand the facts, nature or implications of the situation, including someone who may be mentally or physically impaired by the effects of drugs and alcohol. Learn more about Alcohol and Consent.
